Tortilla Flat foi uma banda alemã de rock progressivo que lançou apenas um disco “Für ein ¾ Stündchen” em 1974. A banda era formada por Hermann Josef Bosten (flauta e guitarra), Manfred Herten (guitarra), Franz Brandt (teclados), Heribert Schippers (baixo), Hans Friedrich Bosten (bateria e glockenspiel) e Albert Schippers (percussão). O nome da banda foi retirado de um romance homônino de John Steinbeck, de 1935. O único disco da banda, lançado por uma prensagem privada em 1974, atualmente é considerado uma raridade por colecionadores. Diferente da maioria das bandas alemãs, o som do Tortilla Flat passa longe das viagens psicodélicas do krautrock, se aproximando do jazz-rock, majoritariamente instrumental, das bandas da Cena de Canterbury, lembrando a holandesa Supersister, um pouco de Focus e a alemã Tomorrow’s Gift, com grande destaque ao e piano e flauta.

O disco é altamente recomendado a fãs das bandas de Canterbury e jazz-rock.
