Em 1968 a banda assinou com a Mercury Records, se mudaram para San Francisco, Califórnia, e mudaram o nome para “Linn County”. Pela Mercury eles gravaram seu debut, “Proud Flesh Soothseer” e tocaram junto com bandas como Albert King, Led Zeppelin, Sly & the Family Stone, Eric Burdon & the Animals e Ten Years After.
No ano seguinte lançaram seu segundo disco “Fever Shot”, uma mistura de Blues, Hard, Soul e Jazz, destaque para faixa título e para a viajada “Suspended”. Logo após, a banda trocou a Mercury pela Philips, lançando por este selo seu álbum final “Till The Break Of Dawn”, com Clark Pierson na bateria, e que conta com uma vibrante releitura de “Boogie Chillen” de Jonh Lee Hooker.
