Pérola do Zam Rock, do rock do fim dos anos 60 e 70 vindo da Zâmbia, com influências de rock psicodélico, funk e música tradicional do país.
O Amanaz foi um dos principais grupos de lá, considerado o Cream ou Jimi Hendrix Experience da Zâmbia. Formado em 1973 em Kitwe, no norte do país, lançaram apenas um álbum: Africa, em 1975.
Seu único registro traz um incrível "caldeirão" de estilos, influenciado principalmente pelo rock psicodélico, ácido e pesado do ocidente, sem deixar de lado a música popular do país. Conta com guitarra fuzz, ótimos solos e bateria pesada! O vocal agrada bastante, a maioria das faixas estão em inglês e apenas três são cantadas na língua local (Bemba).
